We have always had a love for traveling and most believe “once you have kids the fun stops”, we weren’t going to listen and let that cliche slow us down. After traveling many times with many kids, these are our travel must haves. So since the start with Amelia, we have made it a priority to come up with a system that makes traveling not only possible, but easy… er. The best part about it too is that the things we rely on most are things that can easily be bought again as your family grows or come in bulk so it’s a one time purchase. It’s crucial to have a system down. From packing, to entertainment, and food. Create a plan, buy what will work best for your system, make a list of the priorities, pack efficiently, and enjoy!

ONE | ZIPPER POUCHES
So handy for snacks, toiletries, hair ties, etc. We usually pack some extra ones just in case to use throughout the trip!
TWO | CARRY-ON
We love this little carry on. It’s the perfect size to fit a weekend’s worth of clothes. It’s super easy to roll around the airport and fits in the overhead bins!
THREE | PACKING CUBES
Guys. Listen to us right now. We’ve seen people raving about packing cubes before but just didn’t get the hype. But we took the plunge with some bigger trips and we are never looking back. They save space and it’s just so much easier find things and to keep your clothes organized. We either pack them by day of the trip… so we’ll pack all the kids outfits for Monday in one bag, etc. Or we pack them by items, such as Joey pants. Packing cubes have definitely been a travel game changer!
FOUR | MINI BACKPACK
These backpacks are the perfect size for toddlers and small children to carry around the airport. It gives them a little autonomy over their activities but doesn’t take up too much space! You can fit a lot in these little backpacks!
FIVE | BOOGIE BOARDS
Boogie boards are definitely a travel must have. We found these probably 4 years ago and our kids still use them regularly. They’re small and fun to use!
SIX | 3 PIECE TRAVEL SET
You have to have a good suitcase set if you’re going to travel regularly. It just keeps everything together and is easy to spot at the baggage claim. We liked this one because it’s pretty good quality without costing more than a vacation.
SEVEN | JEWELRY CASE
Do we even need to explain how awesome this is? I have been shoving jewelry in ziplock bags to get tangled for year. Having a tiny little jewelry box that keeps everything organized is absolutely a travel must have.
EIGHT | TOILETRY BAG
Everyone needs a good toiletry bag. This is what Mark uses and it’s just the right size to fit all of his stuff without being bulky!
NINE | SOUND MACHINE
When traveling with babies they’re going to have to sleep on the go. Having a portable white noise machine helps them fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer. It was super helpful for Joey when we went to Disney World!
TEN | BACKPACK COOLER
Snacks. Because the second you leave your house your kids will act like they’ve never eaten in their lives. Most people think you’re not allowed to bring food on planes. But in fact, you are. Especially if you’re traveling with young children it’s totally acceptable to have an arsenal of snacks at the ready!
ELEVEN | ERASABLE BOOK
This book is such a great travel activity. It’s a coloring book that erases!! I love having a few activities like this in the kids travel bags and they also come in handy when we’re out to eat, driving on our trip, or waiting in lines!
TWELVE | KID HEADPHONES
These headphones are great, comfortable, and fold up pretty compact for easy travel!
THIRTEEN | 7″ FIRE TABLET
We waited 7 years before getting any of our children a tablet of their own. But we had a few bigger trips coming and did not want to deal with constant fighting over who gets to pick the show or the game. So we got these fairly inexpensive kids tablets. They have definitely come in handy and are now a staple in our travel must haves!
FOURTEEN | MAGNETIC PUZZLE
Our girls love puzzles so these were a big hit. They’re magnetic so the pieces don’t get lost… well, in theory!
