Watching Kylie and Carter go from table to table and greet their guests made our hearts well up. We have never seen someone hug with such heartfelt love, until we saw Carter hug each and every one of his wedding guests. It is so apparent that Kylie and Carter are completely surrounded by people who love them, because Kylie and Carter love others so well. Kylie and Carter met at Ohio University while they were both in a capella groups. We’re not going to lie, we wer a little disappointed that there wasn’t a song and dance number, but one of the guests did do a very hilarious impromptu dance lesson and Kylie had some pretty impressive moves herself. (Watching brides dance is always one of our favorite parts!) Kylie and Carter’s love for each other is so fun and joyful, but also deep and heartfelt. In the months and weeks leading up to their wedding they had countless hurdles to over come, including Carter moving back to Columbus from Chicago and working nights the week before the wedding. But Kylie and Carter never let the stress make them forget that their love for each other is bigger than every worry!
Kylie and Carter’s day started at Powell United Methodist Church where they both got ready and had their ceremony. This is the Church that Kylie grew up in and it was so clear that it’s a Church built on a beautiful community. Not to mention it had stunning stained-glass and beautiful grounds. After the ceremony we headed over to the wonderful Brookshire event center. The area around the venue has perfect areas for photos and the staff had every detail perfectly planned. Even though the weather felt a little more wintery than springy, the soft blues and pinks Kylie chose made her day come to life! And we loved that both Kylie and Carter sported some blue sueded shoes to give everything an extra pop. The sun even peeked out at the last minute so we could grab some photos at sunset!
Kylie and Carter, we are so thankful for the opportunity to get to know you and serve you on your special day. Your peaceful love for each other will carry you through every storm and your family and friends will be your study shelter. Enjoy this new journey together as husband and wife! And live up every minute of your newly married bliss!
